Hi, I'm Marni

Website designer and professional nerd based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada (in the Greater Toronto Area). I’ve been a graphic designer for over 20 years, helping small businesses, non-profits, brides and grooms, and even some of the largest hospitals in Toronto.

I’ve really enjoyed creating many different kinds of designs for all these groups, but more than that, I’ve loved it when they’ve told me how easy I made the process for them.

I put this picture up on Instagram and one of my friends said, “the picture of you laughing is how I always think of you.”

So that’s me, a sarcastic, silly person who laughs with their entire body. You can usually find me watching a weird collection of shows (superhero stuff, sci fi, baking shows and the Crown? Yup), working on my house, reading or planning my next trip.

 How it all started

My story begins like many of yours do – by quitting my corporate job.

I was working in marketing, putting in way too many hours, and doing 5 peoples’ jobs. Eventually I just couldn’t take it anymore.

I started doing freelance work, designing and event planning for non-profits. Quickly, I realized that working for myself could give me the work life balance that I was craving.

So, I opened my first business, designing wedding invitations, while still doing freelance design work on the side,­ including creating websites. I did everything I could by myself, including some things I really shouldn’t have!

Eventually, I realized that my side hustle creating websites was what I actually wanted to do.

I could help small business owners like you to avoid some of the struggles and pitfalls I had with my first business and give you more time for your life.

I could work one on one with you and make tech seem more approachable and understandable.

I could give you a website that’s beautiful, professional and easy to maintain.
